Enable Widgets missing

Ok so my husband has an AT & T Moto X and I have a Verizon Moto X..

I am able to Enable Widgets under Security but that option is missing on his phone.

Any ideas what could be going on?

what is his screen lock option?? if its set to 'none' then you wont see the enable widget option.

you have to at least set it to slide

He changed it to slide and it appeared

Yeah, that option also doesn't appear if it's set to "NFC Unlock" (aka Skip). I had to change it to PIN, enable widgets, then change it back to NFC Unlock (and set up all my Skip dots again).
