I encrypted my phone tonight (I encrypted my Xoom before sending it in for the 4G upgrade so it sounded like a good idea)
It seems to have shortened my battery life on both devices...why would this be?

Just a guess and that's all this is. Takes more processing power to decrypt and encrypt. More 1 and 0's to read therefore more juice is needed.

Tried encrypting my 16 gb, memory card which is near full when I first got the phone, froze up erased everything, good thing I had just backed up the entire card the day before. Needless to say haven't touched that setting again or encrypt phone feat.

idk but I just encrypt single files on the phone now using midevil bluetooth app...
Would be nice to have a password prompt Every power up tho!
