Encryption gone wrong!

I received my Samsung Galaxy A5 as a gift from Hong Kong. When I encrypted my phone it turned off once, and when it turned back on I see Chinese (could be Mandarin) with the word PIN followed by more Chinese/Mandarin characters a space for typing whatever PIN it is requiring then a green phone icon with more Chinese/Mandarin. I cannot seem to get past this screen, and because I cannot speak Chinese/Mandarin I have no idea what PIN the phone requires. Please help :(

Re: Encryption gone wrong!

Welcome to Android Central! When you started the encryption process, it should have asked you to enter your PIN or password first. That PIN/password is what you need to enter to decrypt the phone each time you start it up. Have you tried entering your usual PIN, or did you not have a screen lock set up before the encryption process?
