Encryption gone wrong!

I received my Samsung Galaxy A5 as a gift from Hong Kong. When I encrypted my phone it turned off once, and when it turned back on I see Chinese (could be Mandarin) with the word PIN followed by more Chinese/Mandarin characters a space for typing whatever PIN it is requiring then a green phone icon with more Chinese/Mandarin. I cannot seem to get past this screen, and because I cannot speak Chinese/Mandarin I have no idea what PIN the phone requires. Please help

Welcome to Android Central! When you started the encryption process, it should have asked you to enter your PIN or password first. That PIN/password is what you need to enter to decrypt the phone each time you start it up. Have you tried entering your usual PIN, or did you not have a screen lock set up before the encryption process?
