Although Endomondo appears to NOT be setting up the app for Standalone use I still use it for hikes, runs, walks, workouts. Just got the app for the Note 5. Anyone one else using this one?

I have found that the Bluetooth connectivity is way better then it was on the Note 4.

I don't have a Gear S, but I do use it on my Gear 2 Neo. I use it frequently for my runs, along with the Note 3. I can now use an arm band and still see my run info. For the most part, it functions great.

My only issue with it is the watch app crashes some. Some runs it goes the whole time without crashing, other times it will close 2-3 times. The good part is that it is just a sync to the phone app, so when relaunching the watch app, it reconnects and starts displaying again to whatever the phone is. So, other than inaccurate heart rate to the already inaccurate heart rate, it's not really a big issue.
