I wanted to see if the guy going to confirm it's glass back or not

Either way this thing has leaked so much over the last few months. It's like Google didn't even try or bother to contain any leaks.

Sweardagawd, Google needs to fire their entire security team... Like somebody somewhere needs to get canned if nothing more but to set an example.
@bhatech What are you going to do this year? You literally own every piece of modern tech known to man. Are you biting on Pixel 3?

Haha yeah for sure I'm getting the Pixel 3 just don't know if it's the regular or XL this year. Every year it's the XL but this year I may switch up. Don't know still.
For now Xs Max is doing its job

Extremely ugly! That notch and no headphone jack, no micro SD? Come on! Google is saying about the notch, "hey look, we got one too! Ours is bigger than yours!"

None of the Nexus/Pixel devices ever had SD card slots, except for the Nexus One, which was released almost 9 years ago.

Thanks for sharing your opinion, but not everyone thinks that way.

Maybe you want the V40 with 5 cameras. At ours pixel does something worthy with their notch. Still the top rated front facing camera and rear.

No headphone jack and no SD card don't bother me, but that notch does. Impressive that Google managed to put in the largest, most intrusive notch and thought that was a better design than not having a notch and just having the top bezel go all the way across.

I'd rather lose that screen real estate and have a full top bezel than have a notch that size.

That notch is huge. Much bigger than I'd like to see. I'd prefer no notch at all but this one looks like the biggest of them all.

Not as many front cameras

They could of made the camera's a little smaller🤔
Regardless this is Google first attempt to a notch and it's not well thought out design. So this year is their experiment year, yikes !
I think anyone that's on the fence about the pix 3 version this year HOLD ON TO YOUR PIX 2 you can wait another year

Edit : Oh and how about them yankee Mike. I told you game 2 was theirs 😊

I think it's interesting that there haven't been any sightings of the standard Pixel 3 ... AT ALL! How can a store in china be selling the XL, but not the standard ahead of release? They only have that model and only the black one? Did they contact the "Russian black market" and put in an order for 50 or something?

On the notch, listen I'm in the "no notch" camp for sure. IMO, it's a lazy decision though a functional one. However, MOST pundits of this phone AND it's notch weren't going to buy one in the first place. The people outside of these forums and the tech community don't care about such things. They are like I was 4 years ago. They need a new phone, they walk into a store, look at some rep and say "whatcha got?"

I actually think this generation of Pixels will sell more than the current P2's. Incrementally, but more nonetheless.

I was thinking the same on the regular 3 where did all the leaks go on that one. Been very quiet
Guess we will find out in 2 more days
Me personally from the leaks the 3 looks better then the xl but we see

Indeed. This has been one of the strangest launches ever. I mean, just weird. I'm at the point of watching the release announcement mainly to see what Sundar and Rick have to say about it all.

I've had mixed feelings about whether Osterloh is the right person in the first place. Sometimes I think Google needs his industry experience, then things like this happen and I question whether he has his house in order.

Getting into hardware is tough and a very different business than Google's primary focus. Trying to establish a platform is incredibly difficult as well. If you're Sundar and you got pressure from so many fronts, the last thing you want is internal missteps that add to that pressure.

I guess the positive is that this is just the beginning for them. Better to make mistakes and learn now, than when you've got to deal with 50 million devices.

Then it should have been like the LG V40 which has a small top notch and two front facing cameras.

The V40 also has a normal lens and a wide-angle lens in the notch.

LG's design has nothing to do with it. Obviously the camera and sensor design is different and it is what it is. You have others options. It's not as if it's going to change by constantly complaining about it
