Hey I'm currently awaiting my epic today I was wondering if I could get feedback on the charge time on the epic? Reason I'm asking is because I own a nexus and those of you that have owned one know why I'm asking. Very long charge time >< I had the photon for a couple weeks and loved its charge time. Let me know thanks.

Picked up my epic yesterday and it had about 30% battery left. It was tough to get it low enough to charge before I had to call it a night. I was on it downloading apps, setting up accounts, etc. all on 4g.

The problem with answering your question us that I may never have to charge this thing while im awake.
short answer: the world may never know.

I can't give you a specific time for it charging fully because I just got the phone. But, it appears to be fairly quick. I plugged the phone in at noon ET with 48% battery life, set up some accounts using wifi, and it is now at 77% (1:10 ET). So, my guess is that a full charge would probably take 3-4 hours.

I agree. No concrete data but it had ~40% when I picked it up. I put it on the charger for a little while (didn't seem like very much time - 30 minutes?) and when I checked it was almost at 70%. Impressive compared to the Nexus S.

Now I'm doing a restore of all my apps and data and the battery isn't charging at all (the phone is using all the juice it's getting) but MAN is it flying through the app installs. They are installing in less than a second in most cases. Wow.

I let mine run to below 5%. Turned it off at about 9am this morning. It is now 1:42pm and the thing is still charging. And it has been OFF the entire charge, which would presumably result in a faster charge. I can't imagine how long it would take if the phone had been left on.

FYI this is with the OEM charger that came with the phone.

So my experience: from nearly dead to full charge will take 5 hours if the phone is OFF.
