even if you just go through sprint.com/epic4g that's the page you get.....well now all speculation is done
Nope, clearly says August 20th on that page. I think that comparison video between the Evo and Epic was to justify the price difference. IMHO, its worth it. Its a significant upgrade from the other Galaxy S phones as well. I just hope it get accessory support like the other versions.

What do you think guys? Should this be front-paged? Eeek, 250 bucks! This may be a problem unless I can make some changes. I can afford 199.99, but 249.99 is a bit steep.

I refreshed it a few times and it still says Aug 31st. I would love to see the 20th, but if I keep hitting refresh, it might start saying Sept 31st...
lol, i sent the link to my gf and she was like, the page says 31st. My bad, updated my post, check out what I see. I don't think I have the 31st off, haven't checked that date

Same here. $250 will be bit more than I what saved up for. Being a student takes away the flexibility of the pocket somewhat

I'll be honest Sprint just shot themselves in the foot here, $250 on the device + the $79.99 plan, this will NOT sell well folks,
either that or people have gotten over the psychological price barrier set at $200-210 for a device. why do you think Apple had to slash prices on the iphone for it to sell... because people except the most early of adopters wouldn't pay that much money. I don't see it selling well for Sprint, sorry folks I just am not seeing it unless they lower the price. (will I buy it) HELL YEAH, heck I'm paying FULL PRICE for it cuz I wanted to get rid of my hero, but face it, you see that price your going to turn people away from Sprint and go right next door to Verizon and buy the droid 2 if you want a keyboard, and you'll only have to pay $199...

i expect them to lower their price within a couple months...probably by the holiday season....hopefully its within that period where u can call sprint to tell them for a price match and they have to refund you the difference
