Hey, I have nothing against it. I've owned an Evo too and it was the best phone I ever owned. Period. This is after owning 4 iPhones! I'm switching to the Epic only because I need a phone at this point, my Evo was defective, and they weren't selling anymore.

I had the Evo too- but really missed the keyboard and loved some of the samsung improvements.

I do wish the fanboy stuff would end- I don't care if someone has a vibrant, an evo or a hero- they all run android. I just want Android to skyrocket to #2 installed userbase. I'm curious how Winmo 7 will fare and if it's launch will slow the rush of android phones to market we currently see.

To me it's Iphone vs. Android vs. WM7. Forget which Android you have- and celebrate the bigger picture- we're ALL Android users.

Oh yeah- and Epic's the best one. (just joking Evo fans!)

For once, ONLY once, someone thinks the same way. Android as one. WE as in all of the Android user base are Android. This is going to be interesting when WM7 comes to the public.

My thread about fully converting to android proves this. My 'buddy' was touting his brothers moto droid and saying it can do more then my samsung moment. I proved him wrong. Android is cross platform, cross carrier and international. I too wish the brand loyalists and fanboys would all go away. Its sad as they are limiting themselves too much.

Yeah Im just now starting to see this in the evo vs epic comparisons. Dont they know that the evo and epic are two different segments and its like comparing apples and oranges (hardware wise). As for software my moment does everythign work and personal just fine so I dont see how another droid on the same level could do it any faster or better. It would all depend on the input methods and how the user uses them.

Can we please accept that none of these phones are all they should be, complain about everything that deserves complaining, praise everything that deserves praising, and PLEASE not get sucked into fanboyness. Fanboyness does not help. It does not provide the companies making these phones with useful information about what we do and don't like. It does not lead anywhere constructive.

I don't think this should be Evo vs Epic, I don't think this should be Sense vs TW vs Vanilla. Hell, I don't even think this should be Android vs iOS. Instead of versus, let's call it "compared to".


The only people who should give half of a damn where the users are going are the phone manufacturers, app developers, and phone carriers.


Us? The best thing that we can do is voice our opinions in a calm manner to provide whatever market researchers are out here with solid information.

The whole video is what I said in the title, to lighten up the mood. Heck, I encourage an Evo owner to make a video that is a comeback to mine. It's a parody!

Reviving this thread to say one thing: Some people now think I'm the guy who made the iPhone 4 vs. HTC evo vid! I find it quite funny when they comment that they still liked my iPhone 4 video better.
