Did a quick forum search and couldn't find any info about the "Audio Effects" equalizer app. It exists on my Z2 Force- it appears in Settings > Apps > System Apps- but doesn't show up in the app drawer. I can't find how to open it...

Since Spotify doesn't have its own equalizer its audio is flat and horrible. Been this way since I bought it.

I do have Google Play Music disabled. It doesn't rely on that, does it? If so, is it effective outside the Play Music app?

I think it relies on the Play Music app. On my Z Force and Z Play the only way to adjust the Equalizer Settings is through Play Music.

The Audio Effects app can be opened only from player apps, not from the app drawer. In Spotify try in Your library - cog/settings icon top right - equalizer.

Thanks guys. Google Play Music doesn't need to be enabled, i just had to access it through Spotify. Disappointed I cant create a custom EQ setting but it's better than nothing.
