Eris is in the mail

After three bad trackballs and the horrible new operating system Verizon pushed through to my Blackberry Tour, I have had enough. I am nowhere near eligible for an upgrade so I grabbed an Eris for cheap to get me through till I can upgrade. Been lurking here for a few weeks and it looks to be a friendly and knowledgeable community. So hello all and I am looking forward to learning everything I need to know about my Eris around here.

Ask your VZW rep about the CPO program, you can buy a replacement device once a year without upgrading. The Eris was recently put on the list, they should have a list in store to look at, or check out Certified Pre-Owned Devices for the price. It's better than retail and 1yr pricing, and no 2yr extension..

Trust me, I'm trying to decide which android device I want as a stand-by when I buy one thru this program.

I bought My Eris through the CPO program.

Moto Droid was $289
and the Eris was $169

My other options were an HTC Diamond, BB Storm, ,Palm Treo, Samsung Omnia, and Saga as far as smart phones went. I was leaning heavily towards the Moto Droid for the physical keyboard, but the more I played with the Eris (while trying to decide which to buy), the more it grew on me.
