Eris Problem Turning on

I bought a droid eris on ebay, and he said it was water damaged but working, i try to turn it on, and if i hold the power button it will stay on until i let me finger off the power button. I opened it up and there is no sign of water damage, everything looks good. Any suggestions?

sounds like a direct short in the switch, Idk bout the fix for sure with the batt out id remove the micro-torx screws to get it apart to get the front button off so you can try an clean it. Use some 90% isopropyl alchol on a Qtip an drip it around the button
