Error checking for updates

I am seeing this in the "My Apps & Games" tab under "Updates"

When I click on the reset wheel next to it the error message reappears.

I have restarted the phone a few times.

Which phone? You're talking about the Play Store app? Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?
