Error code 96 while texting message

Dear all
I got problem while replying text thru sms text the error code is 96
Any solution for this

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already asked your carrier about this? Does this happen with all texts you try to send, or only to certain contacts?

it's happened to all text but working where I switched device to another device any help regarding this issue

I'm not sure if this is available, but try using the #*#4636 #*#* dialer code, and see if the subsequent menu has an SMS Messaging Center code. If so, make sure it's correct for Indosat: https://indosatooredoo.com/en/personal/support/knowledge-management-system/faq-messaging

I do it as your guide but here the result

I was hoping it might help, but it looks like not all phones give you the option to change the SMS Message Center number.

Have you already asked Indosat about this?

yes I do they said just restart the cellphone and made sure the text center message +62816124 for matrix and mentari

But the result still same always error 96 shown on cellphone.
So I can't install Mobil banking here etc coz they need sms for verification and otp

Can you clarify -- if you swap that SIM into another phone, it works ok?

Both sim provider look same can't send sms either

You're saying that no matter which SIM you insert into the Z2 Play, you still get the error 96?

Have you already tried wiping the cache partition? MOTOROLA Moto Z2 Play - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info

Yup what ever sim inside this phone while texting or replying text will shown error 96

Btw if i resetting the device by your advice it will be deleting all data on phone

The link was for wiping the cache partition -- this won't affect your personal data. Just make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition in the Recovery Menu, not Wipe Data.

I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Have you ever been successful sending a text with the Z2 Play, or has it always been like this?
