Error. Droid shows a "blank phone" screen

I'm used to Crackberry where people get answers all the time, but I asked this (and other quesitons) a few weeks ago and never got an answer.

Basically, my Droid has a serious problem in that it constantly gets stuck on a blank dark grey (or gray for some of you) "phone screen" with a red "end" button, but nothing is responsive. I've turned the phone on and off many times, pulled the battery, but nothing seems to help.

I would take it back to Verizon and/or do a system refresh of the software. I've never seen that problem.

The few times i get that crazy screen blank problem is if i lock it when i was using the camera... Lots of back button pushing. Could be a dud droid. Droidoes Defectives at times.
