Error message - Unfortunately, google play store has stopped. How do I fix this.

I have tried downloading minecraft and each time received the above error. I have cleared the data on the google play store screen.

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you mean you've gone to Settings>Apps>All, selected Google Play Store, and tapped Clear Cache and Clear Data, right?

Which device do you have? Does this persist after a reboot?
