Title says it. Everytime I even south as open this app I get a notification that it's draining battery at an alarming rate. I even Uninstalled it and reinstalled it as well. Anyone else having issues like this with an app? I have background data turned off on the app as well. This thing definantly needs an update to fix some software bugs. As to be expected with all new releases

My ESPN is doing fine. Did you try putting the app yo sleep? It'll stay asleep until the next time you use it.

Same issue here on my Note 7. Drains up to 4% battery every hour. No wonder I'm having bad battery life. I have tried putting app to sleep but like OP stated, it starts all over again. I really do not want to uninstall the app. I have also turned off location permissions, I didn't realize they were turned on. Other ideas? Thanks.

Sports and weather apps run rogue a lot more than your average app. Dig deep into the settings so it doesn't auto update scores and stuff while open. Kind of like twitter. I'd rather update manually.

My Square chip card reader causes Bluetooth share to use a lot of battery. I have to keep it unpaired unless I need it.

I was thinking about uninstalling it as well. But im a boxing fanatic and its the only sports app that accurately gives me the results of matches and boxing news, real time. Otherwise I would only use yahoo sports.
