And it's (IP54) ! I guess it's better then nothing, but was hoping for the standard these days. They updated the phone specs on Their website if anyone cares.
 
Definitely better than nothing. After seeing how much adhesive holds it together in the teardown videos, it can certainly take a light splash.
 
Just be careful around deep bodies of water, this phone will go down like an anchor ! I wonder if the intergated camera and earpiece was it's weak point for water intrusion. It'll be nice to see a water test video, but with so little phones in the wild , it'll probably be a while till we see one if at all ...
 
Most likely it's the speaker, USB-C port and SIM tray area. The camera, pins and FPR would be easy to seal with adhesive. The stuff on the bottom would have to be designed specifically to survive water intrusion. Doing so would have been more costly and time consuming, which is probably why it never happened.
