Ethernet not detected with UG802

Just tried connecting with an ethernet cable through a usb/ethernet adapter connected through a USB hub, it does not appear it is being detected. I can't turn on ethernet in the settings. I turned off wireless. Any ideas? Worth trying a new USB/ethernet dongle?
