Even the slightest chance of it coming to Verizon?

Yeah doesn't look good for us. I'd like to see how many people switch b/c of this. There's still the possibility Google will announce it will come out later but I highly, highly doubt it. Oh well...... time to figure out if I'm going to stay put or not.

After what happened with the Galaxy Nexus super slow updates and how Google got upset with Verizon about that, I don't think that the Nexus 5 is going over to Big Red. I decided to try out a Note 3, but I was really eyeballing the new Droids for a while because the OS is pretty much stock android, but I can already assume it will be a while before they get the kit kat update.

Doubtful. Verizon blew it with Google on the Galaxy Nexus. They insist on more control than fits the Nexus idea...clean, unbloated and updates when Google says so, not when Verizon says so. After 15 years on verizon, I left for the N4 on Tmo and will never go back. $30 per month gets me everything and my service is perfect.

If Verizon doesn't get it they may receive some other type of device later down the road. Still, there could possibly be hope if there isn't an official report by Verizon stating that it's not coming to big red.

Edit: Just read the article by The Verge. It's real convincing that its definitely not coming to Verizon, considering an Exec w/Google is on the record stating the information.

No offense fellas, but this has NOTHING to do with the GNex on Verizon.

Verizon dictates EVERY term for phone manufacturers. Not even the great Steve Jobs could break Big Red. This is why the iPhone launched on AT&T.

Verizon demands locked bootloaders, crapware, their NFC payment system (not Wallet), carrier controlled updates.

Make no mistake - Google and LG would LOVE to have this phone on VZW, it's just not gonna happen.
