Hey guys. Just here to inform you.

If your Quadrant scores dip below 800, that means your phone has problems. I had the same problem as you. The solution? Use ATK to kill all apps.

Your quadrant score should be in the high 900s and the low 1000s, especially if you're over clocked.

I am currently clocked at min 245MHz and max 787MHz. There is no reason you should not get scores in the 1,000s. If it's not, there's something wrong. Clear cache and stuff, restart, check memory usage, etc.

a benchmark means NOTHING to real world performance.

in REAL WORLD USE you will always have some apps open, some stuff in the background, RAM will always have some data in it.

in THIS situation, being overclocked helps the phone to deal with multitasking.

its not like you dont do anything on your phone but benchmark it, right? its good to get a general idea of performance, but only as to how it will correlate to your enjoyment of using the phone every day

Running Reborn ROM v2.2.2 (Optimus s) with no task killer, OC'd to 245/748 and I use my phone....... so there are always apps sitting open in the background. My phone is snappy, responsive, and quick. My quadrant score is 589 and trust me.......... there is nothing "wrong" with my phone.

I'm assuming you're either trolling, or have CM7 and jumped to this conclusion. If it's the latter, your quadrant score is in the 1000s because gingerbread has a thing called stagefright, which crashes some tests in quadrant; in turn, quadrant just thinks you passed it really really fast, thus raising your score.

Thanks for not freaking out and calling me an idiot like the others. I did not know of this, so thanks for explaining.

While cm7 does run stagefright an cause false scores, it does increase performance too, at least in my case. One of the games I play lags on every 2.2 rom I've tried, but runs nearly perfect on cm7. I'm running ath3nos's cm7 right now, which I believe is pretty much no different than aosp's, aside from a working camera.

While I don't intend to defend anyone's behavior I have seen far worse for less. Your post was bold to say the least and in direct contradiction to a wealth of prior experience. Your post was akin to the new kid in school boasting that he is the best whatever before taking the time to talk to anyone. I'm sure it was not your intent but you may want to take another look at how you present yourself if you don't want to get flamed.

just my 2 cents
