I'm doubtful of Google announcing or revealing anything about the phones at IO. They've never done so in the past, so I don't think it'll happen. They're still probably in the R&D stage, working out exactly what components the phone will have and if they can secure production numbers from LG/Huawei.

Just expecting news about the software improvements, new features, maybe bug fixes etc.

our only hope is that maybe they'll aim for a quicker release with Nexus 6 sales being almost nonexistent. also, their bizarre inventory/launch issues make it though for people to get one before the holiday season. I don't expect them to suddenly resolve those issues, so maybe a quicker start will result in more sales?
