I apologize if this is a really simple question that is easily answered, but I was just looking on some advice. My girlfriend has the EVO 4G and was looking into getting a bigger battery so that it doesn't die nearly as fast, and I was wondering where might y'all suggest I/she look?

I don't wanna get a crap battery that doesn't hold a charge.

I got a bigger battery for my Optimus V from Cool Gadgets, Electronic Accessories Online Shopping -Gadgets-N-Gizmos.com but haven't gotten it yet lol

I'd say go with a Seido Innocell battery 3500mAH. To give you a better idea of it heres a link:
http://store.androidcentral.com/seidio-innocell-3500mah-extended-battery/8A37A7187.htm
Ive read good reviews on them & heard praises about them. My phone currently runs on a 3500mAH battery but it was a gift from a sprint store... I have no complaints with mine.

More about li-ion batteries:
I'll throw in my 2 cents. Currently my phone runs on most recent CM7 rom with an extended battery I got as a gift bought at the SprintStore. I would've gotten the Seido one instead but too late. I get through the day with pretty heavy usage. Currently im trying this out to see if my battery holds out from an article I read about li-ion batteries. I let my phone partially drain & giving it a charge to create a digital memory on it unlike niCAD batteries that have a charge memory. From what I know the battery cant be drained completely since each cell must be charged to a certain voltage. But its mentioned that its good to let it almost drain completely not fully to gain back the accuracy of the battery gauge since it loses accuracy over time. Ive also used setCPU to set up a profile & it saves some juice.

Alright thanks, I'll let her know. She's currently just running stock (non-rooted) as I haven't gotten the time to root it for her :p That and I'm not sure if she wants it rooted...lol

Although I know on my Optimus V that custom ROMs help the battery performance tremendously...Not sure if this is the same with all android phones but if it is it might persuade her to try out her more techie side :)

No problem dude. Yeah i was running stock a few weeks ago until i rooted & i prefer rooted. My recommendation is doing the root & setting her entire system up so she doesnt have to go through the set up of her phone after root.

Yeah I probably will do that. Problem is she's across the country haha (she's in Arizona, I'm in Michigan) but she knows enough technology wise to get by. I think I could convince her to root, but if not oh well.

Haha. No worries man. Alrite thats dope always good for a girl to know their tech. I dont like girls who dont know squat about technology. Ive met girls who hate smart phones/android just because theyre "complicated" & they dont want to learn the ropes & overwork their brains to think... Personally its not complicated. But anywho hopefully u convince her to root.

I bought the $8 3500mah extended battery and back cover from Amazon about 9-10 months ago, and wow, it has been worth every penny. I actually never expected it last this long, but I have had great results with aftermarket cheap batteries with multiple phones over the years.

Cool, I need to get a new battery for my Evo since I plan on using it again. I need one that'll last and not die out in a matter of hours.
