Knowing that ICS was coming to the Nexus S sooner than most other phones, and probably never to the EVO, I gave my trusty EVO to my son and bought a Nexus S on Ebay. I should have known better, as my wife already had the Nexus S and had weak signals with wifi, 3G and 4G, and her GPS thought we were in Utah when we were in Las Vegas.
I almost immediately had reception issues in places where my EVO was strong, and while we were out of state I took the phone to a Sprint store and they confirmed the issues and gave me a new unit. I have to say that the phone is nice, and I like the size a bit more than my EVO, but I still get a weak signal in most places where I previously had great data and phone service. I have read many a tale about the Nexus S and these problems, and I was wondering if anyone who has owned both phones has had a similar experience as me. At this point I'm pretty much ready to take my old EVO back and give my son a shiny new Nexus.
