Evo autofocus binding sometimes...blurry pics

Hi there guys. My evo's auto focus mechanism is sometimes binding and not getting full range. What would a camera shop do to repair this. I'm a DIY kinda guy. So don't just say take it to sprint. Thanks for any help. Is there some kind of product that can be used to prevent the binding or make it slide easier? I realize its a delicate operation.

Um, it's not a mechanical focus. The sound you hear is coming from the speaker, not any sort of mechanical mechanism.

who said anything about sound? maybe mechanical is not the correct term but I see the dang thing move when focusing. take a look.
