EVO Desktop Clock Question

I have tried to figure this out and did a search in the EVO forums but can't find an answer.
I am a PREvious Pre user and when it was on the touchstone, a clock would appear. Is there a setting that will put the Desk Clock on and in landscape mode when the charger is plugged in? If so, will that dramatically add more time for it to charge?

On the bottom portion of the desk clock screen there are 2 icons side by side. One is a moon and star and the other looks like a monitor with a clock in front. Press either of those to get a simplified desk clock to appear which can be used in landscape.

I use the desk clock in landscape mode when going to bed. If it does add more time for it to charge, I wouldn't know as I'm asleep.

The reason I bring the clock up to desk clock is because unless I do that...my alarm won't sound off. I find that odd but have had no choice. I need the alarm to go off. I dont' see why it needs to be active if my notifications bar shows the alarm icon, acknowledging that the alarm is set. Why I have to actually open up the desktop clock in order for the alarm to work is beyond me and pretty retarded IMO. But...so long as it works...I'm good. Just somewhat of an inconvenience.

I dont know if this helps but when you click on the time it pops up a desk click, at the bottom there is an icon that looks like a pc w/ a clock, click on that and you can have a landscape clock.

That's strange. Mine works fine without doing that.

I really like the main screen on the Desk Clock with the larger clock and weather. I was hoping to be able to get that in Landscape and stay on while plugged in.

Are you using a task killer? I used to auto kill apps and it would kill the clock operation and my alarm wouldn't go off. Put clock app in ignore list and it should be fine. I stopped using app killers and haven't had any problems.

I've never used a task killer. Don't know what's going on.
