Evo doesn't turn on

My aunt's evo doesn't turn on. You connect the charger and the charging red light doesn't turn on either (the charger does work, I checked it on other phone).

I checked the battery and it hasn't got wet. I also put a spare htc battery and still doesn't turn on and there's no charging light etc.

What is happening to it? Can something be done?

Try using the power button. Hold it for a little bit. It's not a click and it's on phone. It takes a while to turn on.

Well if you have put a known charged battery into the phone and it still doesn't do anything, than sadly the phone is dead. Just make sure you know for sure that you tried a good healthy charged battery in it.

At the above post, no its not a click on the phone is on but it will light up to the white htc screen within matters of seconds than into the splash screen.

You can try to booting into hboot but don't think that is going to work if it's not turning on at all, but hey its worth a try right? Hold the volume down button and press and hold the power button.
