EVO International Use?

i know that the EVO uses CDMA technology and that GSM is the predominant technology in many international countries. but in one of the videos - the reviewer said that this is a "world phone". i've searched around for more information and could find none.

my question - does the EVO contain any special technology which allows it to function internationally with voice and/or data like a true "world phone" does?

Only if by "world" you mean Canada. CDMA is only used in a handful of countries.
