lol...
I don't even have a desire to test or play with an Epic when it hits the market. I was an iPhone user for 2 years and I knew the new iPhone was coming and I still jumped ship... I have yet to play with an iPhone 4 and I have 2 friends now with one. I even went to dinner with one guy and another friend (who has the original Motorola Droid) said lets test your iPhone 4 against the EVO and he flat out said "NO, he has 4G it's not even fair." I didn't even have the heart to tell him there is no advertised 4G in Nashville....
The only thing that interest me on the Epic is the DNLA feature since I have 2 Samsung LED, TV's that have WiFi and DNLA built in... But even then I couldn't see that being a regular every day use on my phone unless you can use the phone as a remote for the TV, Cable Box and Surround sound system..
When they throw those features out on a phone that would be an awesome deal.
Other than that I am 100% happy with my EVO and will be for at least the next year.. I figure by Christmas when the rumored dual core phones start hitting and processor speeds start pushing 1.5 and up I will start to get jealous and envy another phone.. But basically every thing that has hit the market lately (on the high end smart phone platform) are all 1 ghz and all have 3.7 - 4.3 inch screens.... Your talking very little difference between the EVO, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid 2, Droid Incredible, Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy line.... The Epic just has a slide out keyboard.. but A. with a 4+ inch screen why do you need a slide out keyboard and B. it's just some thing else that moves meaning it can and will break...
I think the slide out keyboard is a good move for people who don't like touchscreen phones (My wife and her love for the Blackberry) I could see my wife with a Epic just so she could keep her physical keyboard... It's not an EVO killer.. I think it's a great compliment phone for Sprint and the EVO....
