EVO or Motorola Droid Xtreme

Choose your carrier first. If you want to save $ and tinker with 4G, go with Sprint. Keep in mind Sprint phones can roam on VZW, but you shouldn't rely on roaming. Would go with VZW if Sprint doesn't have good service in your area.

Hot phones will come out ever couple of months, leap frogging each other. EVO is slick but I would switch carriers for a better deal, not a better phone.

Well said sir!

This shouldnt be posted in the Evo forum but that's for mods to decide...

Don't let the Evo people talk you into getting this phone just because its the hottest out. Choose your carrier first based off your experience in your town and then pick the phone.

Yeah. I wouldn't dare leave Sprint. And I'm just glad the Evo came here.

Ok thanx, thats what I will do then.

In my area, I have had AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Sprint by far is the best network of the three I have used. But... My mother lives in Ohio and Verizon is the best carrier signal around her area. Then in large areas, it could be where you are using the phone. It may work well at home, but not at work, etc. These things are hard to decide unless you actually get an account with the specific carrier. Some offer 15 or 30 day trials where you pay nothing or just for that time if it does not work out for you. I think Sprint is a 30 day one.
