I have my evo Rooted with Unrevoked and have about 2 app which require root. Is it okay to do this over air update?

Yes, but it will break root and wont work after you do it, but you can OTA update. if you really need those apps i would wait.

dude, i am not usually a grammar nazi BUT your thread title is misleading without the corresponding punctuation mark.

it needs to be changed before folks see it and not read your actual thread and go installing stuff thinking you are vouching for it being root friendly.

I cant get the Update to install... I'm Waiting for an Updated Rom to Come out and I'll Reflash with new Update...

I did exactly what you said. Thought unrevoked would still work. There goes my wireless tethering and overclock widget. Oh well. Should be a decent simple root method out soon enough.

If you want to install the update & lose your ability to access root, then do the following:

1.) Install HTC Sync on your Windows laptop.
2.) Download & install the stock ROM from the following XDA thread: [ROM]RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26 - xda-developers
3.) Once flashed & rebooted go to settings > system updates > firmware update and install the firmware update.
4.) Once it reboots go to settings > HTC software update and install the HTC update.

Your phone will be in a factory default state when you are done.

Otherwise please see this thread.
