EVO woke me up early!

Yesterday (2/17/2011), the alarm on my EVO went off at its scheduled time of 5:45 am in Brookfield, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee. The only problem was that the actual time was 4:45 am. Somehow, the EVO clock had jumped ahead an hour. It reset to the right time when it powered up after a shut down. Has anybody else experienced something similar?

I've now known not to rely on any phone alarm to wake me up... being that I had bad experiences with them.

Ps. Maybe your phone was just trying to keep you from not being late. O:-)

On a serious note: A reboot should fix that hiccup. Hold down power and volume up button until white screen appears - follow steps on how to reboot phone.

I haven't experienced this, try making sure your phone thinks your in the right time zone is the only thing i can think of.

There is no difference from that kind of reboot, and a regular "turn off your phone and turn back on" type of reboot. I'm not sure where your coming from rush...

Can you please explain how you came up with this?

This will not fix the alarm and it is not rebooting. Rebooting is when you hold down your power button and select ?reboot". You may be thinking of a warm reboot or something like that but it still will not fix the alarm.

Please make sure you use the correct terminology if you are offering advice and make sure that you have done the research to back up your advice. The last thing we want is somebody to do accidental permanent damage to their device by following tips that aren't proven to work.

Glad to know that...I was just getting ready to reboot mine, then I read your reply...lol

My evo woke me up right on time today, which was 4:30. Had to be at work at 6...meh.

My time has been off lately too. I unchecked "Automatic" in the date & time menu and it works fine now. Must be a network issue.

Mine has had a problem since the last update and the end of last year or beginning of this year. I think there is a thread on it,it's a known issue. I had to uncheck the auto detect feature. It woke me up like 4 hours early two times
