Motorola StarTac - circa 1998 (Verizon)
Nokia bar phone ~2001-2002 (T-Mobile)
Motorola RAZR - Late 2004 (Cingular)
Samsung Blackjack - early 2007 (Cingular - AT&T)
Samsung Propel Pro - Sept. 2009 (AT&T)
And now I'm on the HTC Evo since release date (Sprint) and absolutely love it!

Not pictured (long ago tossed out) - Motorola flip-phone 1995 (or '96?) (Cellular One)

Notice I'm that much a geek where they all still power up!

I remember when I was so excited getting my razr..... lol nice pic it's crazy to remember how much joy we got with those crappy phones way back when...... :)

I had a Startac back when cellphones were a luxury. it was 33 cents/minute and no free minutes.

There's times (even now) I wish we were back in the RAZR days. I even liked triple-tap texting.. Could do it with my thumb without even looking at the phone!

If we were back to the Startac days there would be less accidents on the freeway due to texting or yapping on the phone since it was expensive as heck to use...my conversations were like 2 minutes tops ending with a "I'll call you from a land line when I can".

Awesome-ness... imagine where will be in another five years

Remember the days of 60 anytime minutes and a pager. Checking the page to see if the pager was worth using your minutes before 9 pm. If not waiting until I got to a landline.
Boy do I miss those days... NOT!
BTW, are we giving Handspring (treo) the credit due for the advancement of the smartphone?

Check my Signature just FYI I still have my ppc 6700 and yes it still works.

This thread is interesting but has nothing to do with the EVO so Ima move it to the General Chat forum.

Later,
Dave

OK no worries on moving it. The Evo was the pinnacle of cell-phones up to this point in the pic, that's all. :P
