Excessive cell standby

I'm running cyanogenmod/koush's 5.0.2 and currently 5.0.5, and although I'm liking the.Rom, I am having an excessive cell standby. It's showing that a vast majority of my battery life is being taken by cell standby.

Is this a common thing for this mod? Is there a way to fix it?

Only real issue with Koush's rom.
It is widely known and has been happening for a while now. No fixes atm.

Ok, thank you did the info. Does this happen whenever the phone screen is off, or just when there is bad signal?

Checked mine this morning and its around 59%! The battery is holding nicely.

For anyone else experiencing this problem, I hear that 5.0.5.3 (out yesterday or today) for Droid gives a slight improvement.
