Exchange question

I'm new to smartphones an am looking at a Verizon HTC Incredible. The main reason I want to move up to this type of phone is that I would like to have access to my email, calender and contacts from my office email server. We currently are running Exchange 2003. Is it possible to have access? The guy at the Verizon store thought so but didn't know how to accomplish it. He said that there is a download called HTC synk?? that would work but wasn't sure if was downloaded to the server or the phone. Thanks for any help you might have.

Yes, the Incredible does support Exchange. In fact, HTC's Sense ROMs offer some of the better Exchange integration compared to others IMO. The Incredible will allow you to sync your e-mail, calendar, and contacts though no sync for tasks. Also, you are not able to search the server as you would on WinMo. You don't need HTC Sync for this as the support is built in; all you need is your Exchange server settings.
