Exchange Sync Problems

For some reason, my Outlook tasks are coming across with my Exchange sync. I explicitly have tasks unchecked for this account. Does anyone have a solution to this? I use tasks in Outlook for various reasons, and the quantity of alerts coming on my phone is problematic.
 
is this issue regarding a work email or personal? It will make a difference depending on the software some companies require.
 
It is work email, via an MS Exchange server. I neglected to mention that the problem did not begin until I started creating tasks under Outlook 2013.
