Wanted to use micro USB chargers at home. Can I buy female micro USB to USB C-type connector and use?. Are there some specifications I need to look for. Please suggest.

You can but I wouldn't recommend it. I've read on Amazon reviews and online that some of these adapters can burn... I personally would not take that risk with a $500 device. A better option perhaps would be to pick up some official USB C to USB A cables ($12.00) from the Google store to use with existing USB chargers. I already bought an extra wall charger and a USB C to A cable. I'll end picking up another wall charger and maybe 2 more USB cables as I like to keep chargers with me at work, car, etc. My $0.02
