Experiencing strange time issue with G5

For the last few days my time at the top-right portion of the screen has been occasionally off from the system time. What's even stranger is the drop-down menu time (on the far left when you drop it down) is ALSO different from the top-right time and system time. It's almost always just a minute or two off and then will randomly sync again. So the issue isn't that it's permanently behind because it always goes back to normal at some point. Tried everything I can think of—setting it to be automatic from the network, doing the time manually, rebooting the phone, pulling the battery, etc. So far the alarm hasn't been affected. It still seems to know what the actual system time is. Anybody know anything about this issue? I'd rather not have to do a factory reset but I'm running out of options at this point.
