Explanation of "App Info" Elements?

Since I don't use Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, I was trying to figure out how to remove them from the phone. I ended up deciding to just Force Stop and Disable them from the App Info page for each app under Settings | Apps | All. But, I'm having trouble finding explanations for some of the things I'm seeing there. For instance, on the App Info for Google Docs ("Docs"), it shows Storage Data taking up 13.73MB. Yet, I've never used the app (I did just open it up to see if any files came up that I've used, but there's nothing). Anyone have any idea what that "Data" use is or how I would find/see it? Also, in the Launch by Default area, it says I've "chosen to launch this app by default for some actions" and gives me the option to Clear Defaults. But, how can I just SEE what those defaults are?

1. The data can be the default options that you change in Settings in the app.

2. Use an app like Default App Manager to make managing the default apps easier. (It still sends you to the Application manager to clear a default, and gives you the "Just once/Always" box to set a default, but it shows you what's the default for what function or, in the other tab, the current defaults you have set.)

When I open Google Docs, the list of documents it shows me is blank for every category: Recent, Shared with me, Starred, and Offline (which is as it should be since I've never used it). There's nothing under Settings which could affect whatever it's thinking I have in Storage | Data. Almost 14MB of ghost data is quite a bit when it ought to be zero. I'm worried that if I Disable this (which apparently clears Data), something might disappear and I have no idea what it might be.

I'll also take a look at Default App Manager. Thanks.

After checking Google Docs (and Sheets and Slides) on the web at docs.google.com and and doing the same with Drive (drive.google.com), I figured that data use must be just stuff that the apps themselves use. So, I just Force Stopped the apps and then deleted all the Data. No problem there. Then, I tried Disabling the apps. Silly me. No can do. In each case, instead of actually Disabling the app, I was presented with the option:

"Do you want to replace this app with the factory version? CANCEL OK"

Cancelling just cancels. And I don't want to just revert back to the factory version. So, it looks like there's no way to get rid of these things unless I root. Oh well.

I could be wrong about this, as it's been a while since I felt the need to disable an app, but I *think* you first replace it with the factory version, *then* disable it.

You're not wrong. You have to revert the app back before you can delet it. (Don't ask me why - I would have designed a lot of Android differently.)

I've "thanked" both you and Rukbat for your comments. Never in a million years would I have thought that "Do you want to replace this app with the factory version? CANCEL OK" actually meant it would be disabled afterward. I've now chosen the OK option for that prompt for Docs, Sheets, and Slides and all the apps are now Disabled. Thanks.
