Extend Unlock issues

This feature is very flaky; it only works when it feels like.

• On your person: Doesn't work at all, period.
• Trusted locations: It works sometimes at home, but only when it feels like it. I have even tried to reset it to my precise location, and it won't even work then. At work, however, it works 100% of the time.
• Connected to a device: It works with my earbuds, but not with the headunit in my car.

Has anyone any similar experience or know how to make it work more accurately?

I got it resolved - I was unaware that I have to unlock the phone myself first for it to take effect, and that any time the Extend Unlock conditions are absent, I have to manually unlock it again. I guess I was expecting it to be more of a permanent thing.

However, it doesn't explain the weird locations thing nor why the In Motion is so picky.
