My case i used from the stock battery and cover fits with the extended battery in.

Extended batter cover on the left. Stock on the right

Extended looks thicker,maybe, but you can't tell... might just be the picture angle....

That's odd that they give you a new thicker cover when it's not needed. When you use the stock cover and the extended battery does it bulge out at all?
