Extended battety life reporting

So I bought the extended 2750 mAh battery... It came about a third of the way charged. After awhile, the battery life continued to be reported as 28% for well over an hour... I got suspicious and rebooted, and the battery life was reported as 12%.

What gives? Is the battery malfunctioning, or does the OS need time to figure things out?

Yeah the same thing happened to me. Mine read 98% for about an hour or so. I pulled the battery and it went to 94%. After that the reading seemed to be accurate. I guess the OS is still working out its little issues.
