External mic won't power up

Bought a usb external mic for recording on phone. Plug it in but power light does not come on. When plugged into any other device (iPhone, laptop, Surface) it works fine. Just no power with my Samsung s20 FE. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the cable that came with the mic? If so and it's not working, can you try a different cable?

Is your usb port set to charge only?

When you connect the mic, do you see a USB Connection notification? If so, tap that and see what options you get.
