external storage error with no external storage

My pops has the Galaxy s6. Every time he tries to load a specific game. A message pops up saying "Cannot get access to external storage device. Check if SD card is connected to your Android device and try again."

The thing is he doesn't have an SD card in the phone at all, why would it try to access something g that isn't there?

I did a cache partition wipe already he has 12 gigs of internal available, would this required a factory reset to fix it, or have Best buy flash the software again?

Some games are so large they go to the SD card to store data which may overflow a phone with limited storage like the S6. Unless you can toggle the game storage in its settings it's likely you won't be able to use the game.

if it only happens with one game i would say that the game is not coded properly. have you tried contacting the game developer?
