Wow the extra brightness is outstanding i can actually see my dark theme text , web all dark themed and extra brightness enabled i can definitely see really good in the sun, don't need to put the adaptive brightness.
It doesn't adjust the normal Brightness settings if that's what you mean.Is it possible to put it on max brightness mode all the time? So it basically stays on the absolute max brightness the phone can go to permanently in the settings. Or does it only adjust to the max brightness possible if both set to adaptive mode and with the phone being in direct sunlight. And then it will drop brightness once the phone is taken out of bright sunlight. I hated this feature with my current Note 20 Ultra because it would go from the max brightness to lower max brightness mode as I walked under tree canopies or if clouds rolled over as I worked on my phone. I just want to keep it under th absolute max brightness mode all the time. Can the S22 Ultra do this?

You can only achieve maximum brightness in Auto brightness mode , the highest setting doing it manually won't get maximum and you shouldn't want that as could damage the display, eat battery life etc...Is it possible to put it on max brightness mode all the time? To get the maxim 1750 nits it needs to be in auto brightnessOk this is one thing that no one seems to be mentioning unless I'm just not understanding. To get to the ultra brightness you have to turn off the adaptive screen brightness setting. Then you have to turn on the brightness setting.
My questions are;
With this enabled the screen is always at this ultra bright level? In the few videos where they show this setting it doesn't look like the brightness slider disappears, so is it just brighter overall and sliding the brightness slider it can get up to the "1750" if you take it all the way? If you don't take it all the way it's still bright but, obviously, not the "1750"?
Is there any adaptive functionality with this enabled or is it a totally manual setting?
This popped up in my feed today and explains it pretty well.
