Anyone notice the extra button on the nav bar? It's just right of the square. So far the only app I've seen it do anything in is Facebook. Is there a way to disable it? I always get this hidden menu when I reach across the screen one handed.

I've seen an actual icon next to the square while texting that looks like a keyboard, and pressing that gives me the option to choose a keyboard. But I've never tried the "hidden" button. I'm off to try it now!

I found it! Now I'll be on a quest to find out which apps use this!

I wonder if the keyboard selector I have is native to Android Messages, or if it's a system menu item. Or if it's because I have a 3rd party keyboard installed, SwiftKey...

No extra icon in messages with stock keyboard. But the hidden button opens the hamburger button in the top right.

So now I wonder if SwiftKey enables this, which would be very magnanimous, or if the system enables this whenever a 3rd party keyboard is installed... Interesting.

I have the Gboard keyboard but I get the keyboard button if I want to open my Bitmoji keyboard. I think you will get that option with any other type of keyboard added.
