I think the "don't show again" means "don't show that specific one again", doesn't specifically have any influence over making other different ones not appear at next opening of the store.

I agree that its all annoying.

I just try to minimize my opening of the store. One more additional reason to not want to open it.

I don't know if it's the same on the stock launcher (I would guess it is), but using Nova I just long press the store icon and tap "updates" this takes you to the installed apps page, which is 99.9% of what I need from the galaxy store.

Hope that helps, I'm just assuming no one actually goes there to look for apps lol.

Wow, yes that long press thingy also works for stock default launcher. Cool.

Send feedback to Samsung. But there's no obligation to use the Galaxy Store -- you can get almost every app you need from the Play Store. I think the only apps that are exclusive to the Galaxy Store are specific Samsung apps, and if you just want to update them, you can bypass that Galaxy Store homepage by long-pressing the app icon and jumping directly to the Update option (as discussed above).

This kind of behavior is par for the course for Samsung. They're pretty heavy on advertising, as well as trying to persuade users to stay within their ecosystem.

There is literally dozens of ads for apps on that initial splash screen in Samsung Galaxy store, always has been, for which at least one user gesture is required in order to move beyond. Not sure why this one is now really that extra annoying, other than people letting it be annoying, or one extra step. As also already indicated, just long press the Galaxy Store app or just further minimize opening the Store app at all.
