Extremely Lightweight

Wait wait... how much does the LG Revolution weigh? 6.08 oz :p

My wife has the Revolution and she picked up my phone for the first time tonight and then right after she picked up her phone and said "My phone feels heavy compared to yours".

Frankly I love the overall feel of the phone. Whenever I'm sitting at home I take the case off. Coming from a Thunderbolt that was brick, I'm ready for a phone like this.

To me, the size and weight of the phone is just right. I don't find it "extremely lightweight", but that's because I was using a RAZR for the past few weeks.

you clearly said lightness makes it feel cheap. What does the razr feel like then since it is even lighter than the nexus? You may very well be the only person who complains about a phone being light. Usually everyone complains about it feeling like a brick. I guess it isn't heavy so someone has to be "that guy" complaining about how it feels.

Why do you bring up the Razr? lol. I stopped reading your post after the second sentence. Have a good night, sir.

When did I say lightness/heaviness of the phone was an issue? I didn't. I simply wanted everyone's opinion on how they liked the weight of the device. Don't over-analyze, Mr. Fallacy.

The following is from your post.

and frankly I did not like how light the phone felt--it felt very cheap.

I love the feel of the phone. It actually has some heft without feeling overly heavy. Theres NO flex in this phone. Just because its plastic doesnt mean it has a poor build.

I feel the same way. My old phone was a Droid X built with metal, and the weight "felt" the same, with the GN still giving a 'premium' type feel. I like it a lot.

Weight doesn't bother me, as in heavier wouldn't make me feel more secure about the phone (or build). However, I do feel it feels naked without a cover because it's slippery and slippery when you put it on something. Prying off the cover isn't the greatest either.

My favorite part is that the screen is smooth symmetrical and seamless. It looks clean and professional. It's not overly gummy bear rounded. It will definitely make it really easy to use a screen protector. It is kinda difficult to tell which way is up just by looking at it. you have to feel for the volume and on button. (which btw is pretty much designed for right handers, granted southpaws can use their index finger and toggle their thumbs for volume)

Coming from a thunderbolt the weight of this phone is unbelievable.
Also it feels like it's built better.
The battery door is... crazy/ not all that hot about it. But otherwise the build is awesome.

Yeah, I have the TBolt too ... That thing is a tank ... I don't like that it's battery door gives me the fits every time I have to open it.

I pulled my battery door off the Galaxy Nexus just for the hell of it last night. Yeah, I see now where everyone says its flimsy. However, I think it has a more flexible feel to it, rather than a feel that its going to crack at any moment. Either way, once you snap it in place it feels solid and secure and you can't tell how thin it really is. It's a non issue for me. Those units in the VZW stores having their backs pulled off. I would think that the manner that they pull off when attached to a security device will rarely, if ever be duplicated in real world use.

Also I just don't understand the "its made of plastic" hate of the GN. I'm not knocking the Razr, but when I have held one that a co-worker has, it seems plasticy also. Its light weight and weird proportions don't feel right in my hand. Also, looking at the demo unit in the VZW store, that "Kevlar" back looks to be an applique or sticker on top of whatever the back case is made out of. Nice phone indeed, but to me the GN feels more stout.

The Droid Charge and Stratosphere are the ones that feel like cheap plastic toys.
