In case anyone is wondering the Otter box Defender case is coming by the end of this month I spoke to a rep at otter box he could not give a specific date but stated it would be out by the end of the month and that they will be having a email notification set up on their site soon so that we could be notified by e-mail. This was also listed on their FB page OtterBox Yes, we are going to release cases, the Defender Series for the Thunderbolt is currently in development and we expect to have email notification sign up live on our website shortly

Thanks, I've never bought an Otterbox case before - but they seem to make good products. I'd be interested in seeing what they produce for the Thunderbolt.

I swear by them, they are the only cases I use, trying to hold out for one. I am so clumsy, I dropped my iphone 4 so many times and not a scratch or anything. IMHO their cases are the best ones.

I had/have an Otter Box for an older smartphone (well, WinMo so it was actually stupid) and its an excellent case. If you can stand the bulk. They pretty much rule out pocket carry unless you're wearing cargo pants or have a large purse. The one I have pretty much sealed the phone, so that is good also.

I should have posted this but I did ask and the rep stated that not enough people request it and because of this they do not see it in the near future. I think that's crazy I think tons of people request it but that's just my opinion.

Yes it does make the phone look big but I don't mind because the protection it gives is worth it.

I want an otterbox commuter case for my TB. Do anybody know when is the release date?

Have an OB Commuter for my Fascinate. Fantastic case. A little slippery compared to the Case-Mate Tough Case, though.
