Face activating apps to open while on calls

My phone keeps turning on all different apps when I have it against my cheek. It hangs me up all the time because of this. I believe I have all of the gesture options turned off but it still does this. What do you think could be the problem and how do I fix this?

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried locking your screen? That might help. When you don't you are allowing the proximity and gyroscope sensors to still activate your screen, which then causes hangups.
