Facebook and instagram disconnected when switching data source

Hello,

It seems that since I've updated my note 5 to nougat, Facebook and instagram get disconnected when I switch from 4g to WiFi and vice versa (ie they stall when posting, refreshing, etc.). If anyone knows any fix other than restarting the apps I'll greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Does it help if you turn off Smart Network Switch (which I think is in the Advanced Wi-fi settings)?

Nope, it's already off.

Does it work ok if you manually refresh (by swiping down on the screen) after switching between mobile data and wi-fi? Or does that still get stuck, even after the phone has reestablished the data connection?
